Microsoft Word 101

Learn the basics of using Microsoft Word, the popular word processing program. This class will cover how to use some of the basic tools on the ribbon to create, edit and format simple documents.

Prerequisite: Basic computer skills are required.

Microsoft Excel 101

Learn how to create a spreadsheet with Microsoft Excel. This class will cover using the basic tools on the ribbon to set up and manipulate a basic spreadsheet. Formatting and inserting simple formulas will also be discussed.

Prerequisite: Basic computer skills are required.

 Microsoft PowerPoint 101

Learn the basics of using Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 to design beginner level presentations.  This class will cover how to use the ribbon and basic tools, and how to navigate the toolbars in order to create slide shows with text, pictures and transitions.

Prerequisite: Basic computer skills are required.

Microsoft Word 102

Go further with Microsoft Word. You know the basics, but you are ready for more. In this workshop you will learn how to work with paragraphs, use tabs, make tables, work with styles and learn to use the spelling and grammar tools.

Prerequisite: Microsoft Word 101 or equivalent experience.

Microsoft Excel 102

Do more with Microsoft Excel – go beyond the basics. In this workshop you’ll learn more about formulas and see what functions are available to help you with calculations. You’ll also learn how to use auto filter and how to create a simple chart.

Prerequisite: Microsoft Excel 101 or equivalent experience.

Microsoft PowerPoint 102

This intermediate PowerPoint class will teach you how to customize existing presentations with advanced graphic techniques. Topics covered in this hands-on workshop will be organizing and editing custom slideshows, utilizing the speaker’s note function, SmartArt, animation timing, as well as drawing and manipulating pictures, tables and charts.

Prerequisite: Microsoft PowerPoint 101 or equivalent experience.
